The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which serves as the philanthropic arm of the College Football Playoff.
The CFP Foundation was formed in 2013 with the introduction of the new playoff system to make a significant difference through the platform of college football.
The purpose of the CFP Foundation lies in supporting early childhood through secondary education across the country. The CFP Foundation’s primary platform, Extra Yard for Teachers, is dedicated to elevating the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering teachers in four focus areas: resources, recognition, recruitment and professional development.

The money raised in this auction will be donated to the CFP Foundation to continue their efforts in Going the Extra Yard to Keep Kids Learning during the COVID-19 school shutdown.
Overview:
• The College Football Playoff Foundation will dedicate funds raised through the NFL Auction site on College Football Playoff Foundation auction items to resources for teachers and their students through DonorsChoose.org and the Keep Kids Learning Fund.
• In the wake of the COVID-19 nationwide crisis, schools were closed in almost every state and many for the rest of the school year. As the education system prepared for transition to remote learning, teachers found themselves on the front-line to ensure that student development and learning continues.
• The CFP Foundation appreciates the tremendous contribution that they make every day and, during this crisis, recognized how quickly teachers began to step up to give parents and students what they need to stay focused and keep learning.
About DonorsChoose.org and the Keep Kids Learning Fund:
• DonorsChoose.org, a long time partner of the CFP Foundation, is a classroom funding site for public school teachers and has committed to getting teachers what they need to give every student a great education with the Keep Kids Learning Fund.
• Usually, funded supplies are shipped directly to classrooms in need. With schools closed, this new Keep Kids Learning pilot program empowers teachers to get supplies directly to students at home.
• For projects that are funded through the traditional DonorsChoose.org program (not through Keep Kids Learning), teachers will be able to arrange the delivery and pickup of resources from district or school buildings.
